February Beauties

I had the great opportunity to photograph first cousins, Ireland Reed and Maple Couvrette, in late February before the Coronavirus lockdown. Ireland was dressed in a beautiful pink lace gown and Maple in a black lace top and tulle skirt which complimented their unique looks perfectly. During the lockdown, I’ve been photographing my dogs and husband which I’ve included at the bottom of this post. The images of my dog, Josey, and husband, Dave, were taken with my new Fujifilm GFX 100. I decided to make the transition from 35mm to medium format. I sold a good portion of my Nikon gear in order to do this. I’m completely thrilled with my decision after seeing the images on my computer screen as the detail and high dynamic range are incredible. This camera is perfect for me as I primarily shoot portraits and landscapes. I look forward to the day when our current situation is behind us, and I can put this equipment into high gear.
